In 2016 the MAA Board created an Operational Plan, identifying specific Goals and Activities in four strategic areas.   Each year the Board reviews the goals, and identifies and prioritizes activities in each area.

Communications: Establish an effective information sharing system for Arizona museums 

Professional Development: Be the connector for content and resources for Arizona museums 

Advocacy: Create and implement an advocacy strategy for Arizona museums at the federal, state and city levels

Resource Development: Provide diversified resources for MAA activities
