MAA Professional Development Scholarships

As outlined in our new Organizational Plan, the Museum Association of Arizona is committed to its role as the connectors of content and resources for museums in Arizona.    To further the reach of our professional development programming, we are pleased to announce the Museum Association of Arizona Professional Development Scholarship Program and Fund.

Beginning with awards for the 2017 Spring Conference, the MAA Professional Development Scholarships will provide financial assistance to Association members for attendance at an MAA-sponsored workshop or conference.    Scholarships will typically include the registration fee and a stipend to offset the cost of travel, hotel, or other expenses related to attendance at the event.  All awards are made through a competitive process, and are based on both financial need and value to the applicants and their institutions.   Volunteers and individuals from small museums are encouraged to apply.

Scholarships totaling at least $2,000 will be offered each year.   Funds will be solicited from the museum community for the new MAA Professional Development Scholarship Fund to support these awards, and, as needed, additional monies will be provided from Association funds.

Please feel free to make a donation to the Fund by Credit Card or PayPal using the form below or by mailing a check to "MAA", PO Box 63902, Phoenix AZ 85082.
