With an emphasis on the needs of smaller museums, this workshop will provide attendees with an understanding of good governance practices including a discussion of Governance Structure, Board Development, Legal and Ethical Responsibilities, Board Social Dynamics and Financial Oversight, as well as additional topics selected by the needs of the attendees.   

Led by Brian Crockett, a nonprofit organizational consultant with more than 30 years of experience in nonprofit governance, strategic planning, board development, fundraising, museum management, advocacy, and evaluation/research.  He is known for his good humored approach to difficult issues.
