Unless otherwise indicated all activities will be held at the San Marcos Hotel, Chandler AZ (Southwest corner of Commonweath and Arizona Avenues). Free parking for the conference is available in the hotel lots along West Buffalo Street.

8:30 – 9:45 a.m. President’s Breakfast (San Marcos Ballroom)
Start your Conference with conversation with old and new friends over a Continental Breakfast. Jim Ballinger will serve as our first “storyteller”, sharing insights from his 40 year career at the Phoenix Art Museum.
The Breakfast is included as part of the Full Conference and Thursday Single Day Registrations.
9:45 – 10:15 a.m. Annual Business Meeting (San Marcos Ballroom)
Get updates on MAA activities and vote on important By-Laws changes and new Board members.
10:15 – 11:45 a.m. Welcome and Keynote Panel (San Marcos Ballroom)
Hear about storytelling’s broad impact from a diverse panel of contemporary thinkers on the subject:

12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. Lunch and Learn
Chose from five guest hosts and area restaurants for a delicious and informative lunchtime experience. Lunch is at your own expense. You will be able to sign up for your chosen lunch starting on May 1.
1:15 – 2:30 p.m. Section A Sessions
3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Field Trips
Chose from one of our three field trips led by members of the local East Valley museum community

6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Dinner and Live Auction (San Marcos Ballroom)
An elegant dinner at the San Marcos will set the stage for our annual live auction, with the proceeds going to MAA's educational programs, as well as the Ken Evans Scholarship Fund. The auction will be followed by a performance by Marilyn Torres, a faculty member at the Storytelling Institute at the South Mountain Community College and known as the WestWinds Storyteller.
The Dinner is included as part of the Full Conference and Thursday Single Day Registrations. You may purchase additional dinner tickets -- in advance only (see Registration Form).
9:30 - ? p.m. After Hours at The Perch
Review the day in a casual setting that includes over 50 tropical rescue birds and a wide array of local brews at the Perch Brewery and Pub at 232 South Wall Street, a short walk from the San Marcos Hotel.
Space will be reserved for MAA Conference attendees, but drinks (and food) are on your own.

5:30 – 9:00 p.m. Phoenix Airport Culture Crawl
Phoenix Airport Museum staff will lead us through the art exhibits and installations at Sky Harbor, starting at the Light Rail Station at Washington and 44th Street and ending with food and a cash bar at the Cheuvront Restaraunt and Wine Bar in Terminal 4.
The Culture Crawl is not included in the Conference Fee. Individual tickets may be purchased in advance or at the Conference for $20 (see Registration Form).
